Route 190 and its daytime limited-stops counterpart, L90 (now renumbered 190X), are bus routes which run from Sydney City (Wynyard) to Palm Beach via Wynyard, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Military Road, Spit Bridge, Condamine Street, Pittwater Road and Barrenjoey Road. They are the longest routes run by Sydney Buses, stretching 43km between Railway Square (former terminus) and Palm Beach. The route takes in spectacular and scenic scenery of the Northern Beaches and is commonly used by beachgoers and surfers.

Both routes originally started at Railway Square, but were truncated to Wynyard in 2015, due to CSELR construction.

Route 190[]

Route 190 only operates during late nights, and early Saturday and Sunday mornings when Route L90 is not running. Route 190 makes all stops along the L90 route, and deviates via Pacific Highway, Miller Street and Falcon Street to serve North Sydney, and also deviates along Sydney Road and Condamine Street in Balgowlah.

With the introduction of the Northern Beaches B-line service, route 190 was discontinued.

Route L90[]

L90

Route L90 operate limited-stops services seven days a week, half hourly during weekdays and every twenty minutes during weekends.

It takes little over 11/2 hours to cover the whole route from end to end.

Services stop at all B-Line stops except Manly Vale between Wynyard and Narrabeen, then all stops to Palm Beach.

The introduction of the Northern Beaches B-line on the 26th November 2017 brought forward a reduction of services to one every hour. As part of a renumbering of Northern Beaches routes in 2020, route L90 was renumbered 190X. In the unlikely event that a B-Line bus is unavailable, as no other buses can display B1 on their destination board, the procedure is to display the corresponding destination with 190X.
