The Volvo B7RLE with a Bustech VST is a bus model originally ordered by State Transit in 2015. The bus is comprised of a Volvo B7RLE Euro 5 chasis paired with a Bustech VST body. The first delivery of this bus occured in February 2015 with 2705 being the first delivery.

This model can be found with white Mobitec "MobiLED" (2705-2724) and white Hanover (2725-2748, 2784) destination screens and a Denso air conditioning system.

Service[]

There were 45 Volvo B7RLE Bustech VSTs delivered to State Transit. They are numbered 2705-2748 and 2784. The buses can be seen operating in the Northern Beaches, Lower North Shore, North Sydney and Newcastle.

Buses 2705-2723, [[1]]and 2784 has since been transfered to Keolis Downer's Newcastle and Northern Beaches division, and bus 2724 has since been transferred to Transit Systems. Buses 2725-2748 and 2784 operate in Newcastle with Keolis Downer out of both Hamilton and Belmont depots.

In April 2018, 2724 was transferred from Brookvale to Burwood depot, and is currently operated by Transit Systems West. 2724 was also involved in a serious accident in December 2018. After the accident, the front end was rebuilt and the bus was re-registered as m/o9137 and transfered to Tempe Depot. 2724 can be spotted around in the inner west region, eastern suburbs and in the Lower North Shore area if operating Route 320.

Unlike the Scania K280UB/K310UB's Bustech VST's the Volvo one has a black strip at the top.

Livery[]

The State Transit order of these buses can only be found in the Transport NSW Livery. This model of bus can be found in other liveries at Forest Coach Lines, Interline Bus and Busabout.

2711 was in a long-term AOA for State Transit driver recruitment between November 2016 and April 2022. It was re-wrapped at least once during this period.

2719 was also in a bright pink AOA between late 2020 and April 2022, celebrating 50 years of female bus drivers in Sydney.

2740 and 2741 are in a slightly modified Transport NSW livery, with blue shapes instead of a full blue patch at the back.
